At the initiative of the Latin America-Morocco Business Forum, the creation of the Network of Non-Governmental Organizations of Latin America and Africa (Gondwana) was announced on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
The basic idea of the network bets on the support of world peace and human values, the achievement of justice and the strengthening of cooperation and solidarity between the African peoples and the countries of Latin America, as well as ” call from all the active forces in Africa and Latin America and official institutions, development agencies and companies whose objectives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Plan for 2030, to commit to support humanitarian aid efforts and cultural and educational activities for the benefit of the peoples of the two continents.
The idea of this strategic alliance for the benefit of the peoples of Africa and Latin America came within the framework of the initiatives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to strengthen south-south cooperation, in order to share experiences in various fields and levels and develop concrete measures and cooperation initiatives that exploit the common opportunities available, at the forefront is the distinguished regional position of Morocco and its geostrategic location as a gateway connecting Central America, the Caribbean and Latin America as well as the Arab world and Africa.Morocco is always seeking more cooperation and partnership with the countries of the South, which has materialized in the historic visit of His Majesty to the countries of Latin America in 2004.
