Bolivia also affirmed that it will adopt the principle of “constructive neutrality” with regard to the artificial conflict around the Moroccan Sahara and that it “will henceforth work to support the efforts deployed within the framework of the United Nations , with a view to a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution, in accordance with the principles and objectives set out in the Charter of the United Nations ”.

“Bolivia is determined to build a renewed relationship with the Kingdom of Morocco, based on mutual respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in the internal affairs of the two countries,” said the statement.

The adoption by Bolivia of such a position is the fruit of intense and fruitful exchanges between the foreign ministers of the two countries, since the advent of the new government in Bolivia in November 2019. This decision also confirms the good phase and fruitful dynamics which now distinguish relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and all the countries of the South American Continent.
